We are the institution Malappuram Metals & Engineering Consortium Pvt. Ltd., (MECON) formed under Cluster Development Programme of Govt. of India and Govt. of Kerala. The major object of our institution is to bring up more than one thousand General Engineering Industries of Malappuram district to the bench mark level, in order to compete with major public sector undertakings of Indian Industry.

The Central Government and State Government have provided adequate grant to this institution to set up a Common Facility Production Centre and Training Centre (MECON CFC). This centre monitors all requirements for the development of small Engineering industries by installing higher end machineries, providing trained skill labourers, and to conduct soft intervention to the new entrepreneurs & public for the awareness of industrial culture.
Thus, the Central and State Government has identified our institution as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the implementation of developmental, innovative, and creative Procedures in the engineering industry and connected human resources in Malappuram district.
